Doll Delivery

At our Victoria clinic the staff collects donations for dolls for needy children in Africa.   Recently, we were given two huge bags of these rag dolls and we were searching for someone with space to spare to take them to Africa.   Ken from ICross obliged.

I thought I would share this letter & pictures we received from him today:

“Good day I’m Ken Geoffrey the Project Manager for 7 BC based helicopters operating in Angola in support of the presidential elections. When I was receiving my vaccinations, the ladies at the Travel Medicine & Vaccination Centre asked if I would be able to deliver some knotted dolls to needy children. I agreed to try and was presented with a couple of large bags of dolls.

In Angola our work took us to many remote and impoverished villages so the election officials could do their work. These stops provided us with the opportunity to hand out the dolls to some very appreciative children, most of whom didn’t or have never had a toy. We received their thanks and appreciation and now we pass it along to you. Also on behalf of my crews, I would like to thank you for the opportunity you provided us to bring these gifts of joy to so many children.  I’ve attached a few pictures which I hope you’ll enjoy.

Warmest Regards Ken Geoffrey
