We are pleased to announce that we have just received our first shipment of flu vaccine. According to Ray Christopherson, TMVC’s owner, “this is the earliest date I can remember receiving the flu vaccine in my 20 years experience”. He added, “it’s a mistake to assume that flu shots are only for the elderly. In fact up to one in four healthy adults will develop the flu this winter.”
The flu virus thrives in the typical office environment, as well as restaurants, schools, clubs and other places where people interact in close quarters. Flu vaccination can significantly improve one’s chances for a flu free winter.
TMVC offers flu shots at all eighteen of our offices throughout B.C. We also have a team of nurses who are available to administer immunizations on-site at employers’ premises for groups of 10 or more. Our flu vaccination program is aimed at those who do not qualify for a free flu shot* but who nevertheless would like to reduce the risk of contracting the flu this winter. The price is $25 per person with reduced rates available for larger groups.
In addition to the standard injectable vaccine, we will also be offering the new intranasal needle-less vaccine FluMist™ for $35.
