* Pre-travel health services and most vaccines are not
covered by the provincial Medical Services Plan (MSP).
Please check with the Travel Medicine & Vaccination
Centre or your family doctor to determine which, if any,
vaccines are covered by MSP. Clients are responsible for
paying for the services and vaccines at each appointment
(we accept cash, debit cards and major credit cards).
Some private health insurers will cover the costs of
pre-travel related services and vaccinations as part of
extended health insurance. Individuals with extended
health benefits are advised to contact their insurers to
find out what services may be covered and what
documentation will be required for reimbursement.
** There is an additional one-time shipping charge of
$20 for Tick-borne Encephalitis as this is a special
order vaccine. The shipping charge must be paid up-front
at the time of ordering and is non-refundable.
***Travel risk assessment consultation fee is a
one-time charge for all visits pertaining to the same
trip. Reduced rates for groups of two or more apply when
all group members are assessed at the same time.
Office Hours/Appointments
Travel clinic services are available at a variety of
times including evenings and Saturdays. As we book by
appointment, it is recommended that you call our office
to arrange a convenient time. It is advisable to book an
appointment at least 4-6 weeks before departure. Although
some vaccines can be given on short notice, most vaccines
are more effective if given at least two weeks prior to
travel. In addition, some series of vaccines have to be
administered on a schedule up to 4 weeks apart. We
emphasize service and every effort is made to accommodate
clients in as timely and efficient manner as possible.
On-Site Group Appointments
For groups of ten or more our medical staff can make
arrangements to administer vaccinations on-site at the
group's premises. For further information about group
appointments and rates please contact our:
